"....always a focus on Woman's History!"

Since the beginnings of Another Time in 1978, a focus on woman's history has been the focal point. Usually the first question or comment I get is, 

"Isn't that supposed to be spelled women's history?"

No, it's not a misspell. It is, perhaps, the strongest statement on what my work is all about.

Beyond the treasures, beyond the unique artifacts, beyond the assortment of categories, there is a unique underlying message.

Traditionally, we look at other time periods and historical events with 21st century eyes seeing what "they" did. What Another Time seeks to provide comes from the lesson that each one of us is unique and at the very same moment each one of us is part of a very grand scale. Woman's history is one perspective that recognizes this element. All human beings are in unity. It is only man-made rule that creates our differences in legalese.

Another Time is dedicated to showing through both object and idea that history gives us strong albeit subtle lessons when we look to the unique individual. So as you peruse the site of artifacts to purchase and writings to ponder, I wish for you open eyes and a moment of contemplation. Everything is of value in its own place.
