Fall Means Time for Vintage Hats

I had a fun idea yesterday to create an Etsy Treasury using a theme of his and her vintage hats.  For each occasion or color I picked, there would be one hat for him and one for her.  Well!  My heart goes out to the men folk -you poor guys have an extremely limited fashion bonanza of hats to choose from!  Derby - Boler - Boater - Fedora - Caps  .... and just a few tweeks in between.  Boy have fashion designers missed a whole market segment! LOL.  Anyhow - here's the treasury with a majority of great vintage examples from friends at the Vintage Fashion Guild.

Sweater Weather

Call me forever nostalgic, but one thing I love about fall is cozy-ing up in the daytime or evening with a sweater.  Living in western New York, our fall has a great crispness in the air that just begs one more layer of warmth.  Afternoon strolls right into football games or formal evenings - the vintage sweater is a must in your fashion wardrobe.

And here is one more beauty I found recently for any glamour occasion - a Jo Ro Imports from Miami Beach FL  from the late 1950s ~  fully beaded in little pearls on a lush creamy color wool blend.  At a size 40, it will fit many a modern girl!  Find it in my Etsy shop AnotherTimeAntiques will full details.

Autumn Leaves

Since we are getting ready for an early autumn car jaunt, I got to thinking of seeing all the beautiful leaves in our western NY region!   Uh oh.... fall leaves = raking!  Oh NO!   Well that's not really so bad because that also means leaf piles, great colors, fresh air and of course a new Etsy Treasury!
